Air Conditioner Types
Heat Pump
This type of system provide Heating or Cooling to all indoor unit(s) without the function to heat 1 indoor unit whist cooling another indoor unit, all indoor unit(s) can be controlled by a thermostat to control each rooms temperature.
Heat Recovery
This System has the ability to provide Heating or Cooling to all indoor units independently allowing any combination of indoor units to heat or cool, all indoor unit can be controlled by a thermostat to control each rooms temperature.
Cooling only / Server Computer Rooms
These systems only cool this type of system is becomming less common as a split type system, with portable or mono-block systems still widely available. Rooms that require cooling only such as server or computer rooms use high wall mount or ceiling cassette units capable of maintaining temperatures around 21-22°C with a tolerance of 1-2°C that also control humidity. Custom built server room installations such as telephone exchanges and data centre use up-flow or down-flow air handling units which is often custom made, contact us with your requirement. Heating only
Systems that only heat, these system are common in hotels and new build single and multi dwelling properties where no cooling is required. Mitsubishi Electric Ecodan is a commercial and residential renewable heat pump technology that delivers heating and hot water, a low carbon energy efficient alternative to kerosene oil heaters or off grid gas heating. Most of out installation can be set to heating only to comply with BREEAM. Is a process in which the air is mixed in order to eliminate stratified layer of temperature.
Destratification
Is a process in which the air is mixed in order to eliminate stratified layer of temperature, destratification fans are simple but highly effective solution that work with warm air system to return the warm air from the roof space back to occupied space.

Split Type Air Conditioner
- Requires 1 outdoor unit and 1 indoor unit
- Heating or Cooling
Multi Split Type Air Conditioner
- Requires 1 outdoor unit, multiple indoor units, indoor units can be ceiling or wall mounted, can be ducted or ductless
- All indoor unit are set to Heating or Cooling
- 1 indoor unit can not heat whist another cools
- All indoor units can be set to heat or cool and controlled independently to set each rooms temperature or to switch off
VRF or VRV System
- Indoor units can be ceiling or wall mounted, can be ducted or ductless
- Variable refrigerant flow or variable refrigerant volume consitist of outdoor unit(s) and up to 50 indoor units
- Heat pump or Heat recovery
HVRF Hybrid
VRF is a 2 or 3 pipe heat recovery VRF with water between the Hybrid Branch manifold and the indoor unit, this system is suitable for installations where the escape of a refrigerant gas could cause harm such as hotel rooms, This system uses refrigerant gas between the outdoor unit and the Hybrid Branch manifold and water between the Hybrid Branch manifold and indoor units located in hotel rooms etc.
Ducted Type Air Conditioners
Ducted Type Air Conditioners can range from a single indoor unit as below to complete offices, warehouse, large retail and restaurants, with ducts ranging from 200mm to 1500mm.
